Arbitration system

Double-blind peer review process

Rules of the arbitration process of Realidad, Revista de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades.

  1. To be published in Realidad, any article proposed to the articles, essays and thematic dossier sections will be subjected to a selection phase and a double-blind external evaluator opinion process. In the first phase, the Editorial Committee will select the articles that correspond to the thematic areas dealt with in the journal and that meet the essential academic requirements of a scientific article. The director will notify the authors if their article has been sent for an opinion or if it has been rejected at this stage.
  2. Contributions will be submitted to the external evaluation opinion of two specialists in the corresponding subject. If there is a contradiction between the two opinions, a third evaluation will be carried out, which will be considered final. The judgment process will be secret. Once the evaluations of the consulted referees have been issued, the report of opinion will be sent to the authors, and they will have a period of no more than one month to deliver the final version of the article with the pertinent corrections. The Editorial Committee of the journal will verify the final version based on the opinions and will inform the authors in which issue of the journal their work will be published. The accepted contributions will be subject to style correction and their publication will be subject to the availability of space in each issue.
  3. Sending any collaboration to the journal implies not only the acceptance of what is established in these editorial standards, but also the authorization to the Editorial Committee of Realidad for the inclusion of the work on its electronic page, reprints, collections and in any other medium that is decided to achieve a greater and better diffusion of it.
