Abstract
This article aims to disseminate the main findings of the research developed by the team of academics from the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research Circle of the UCA Business Administration department. In this, the critical state in which the Salvadoran micro and small businesses is, is mainly revealed, a state caused by the COVID19 pandemic; This context shows the fragility of the economic system of a polarized country, with a growing poverty gap, inequality and difficult access to opportunities for the most disadvantaged and vulnerable groups. This poses a risk that could lead to a crisis without precedent in the country's history.
