Plagiarism detection

Realidad, Revista de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades receives and accepts original and unpublished works, adhering to the plagiarism detection policy that must be complied with by the Editorial Board and its authors.

For that reason, Realidad can reject an article, if it presents the following types of plagiarism:

  • Copies of someone else's work that can be total or partial.
  • Self-plagiarism that can be total, partial or dosed.

Phases of acceptance of articles:

  • The authors of the article will be asked for a declaration of originality and unpublished presentation of the document; In other words, it has not been presented in another journal or another platform.
  • After receiving and starting the review process by the editor, it will be taken into account if the guidelines set by the journal have been complied with and if the articles are original and unpublished.
  • This is supported by the evaluation of the program Turnitin Similarity for plagiarism detection provided by the Library "P. Florentino Idoate, S.J." .
  • After this, the article will be sent to the peer reviewers, in which rigorous attention to any form of plagiarism is requested.

In the case that plagiarism is confirmed:

In the case that plagiarism was detected in the submitted works, the Editorial Board will be informed of the degree of plagiarism that has been committed and consequently your article will be rejected; accordingly, the author will be notified of the reason for the rejection of their article.
