Abstract
Emigration is a longstanding phenomenon in El Salvador. Up to date, wide sectors of Salvadoran population live abroad and many people pretend to improve their economic conditions beyond national borders. Empiric evidence shows that this situation is due to an economy which is unable to incorporate the current labor force in the labor market. However, the main structural factors promoting emigration remain still unknown. This a reason to accomplish a research on this issue.
