Abstract

The British Historian, Eric Hobsbawm, described the 20th. century as a "short century", that begun with the I World War and ended when the Wall of Berlín was turned down into pieces. The author criticises the optimistic approach of Hobsbawm, as a result of a Eurocentric post-Cold War mentality.
