Abstract
This essay intends to contribute to the discussion on the rational and ethical challenges that must assume the Catholic Universities before the urgency to make possible, today, indeed the attainment of a religious, social and cultural dialogue of global character. lt is in the perspective of this dialogic challenge that we reflected on three, in words of Habermas, "governing religious world images of praxis", images that they have by purpose of illuminating the horizon of the enormous challenges that must assume as much the faith today as the reason, if it is wanted to seriously think and of consequent way an intercultural and interreligious social dialogue for the effective construction of, yearned for, world-wide peace.
