Radicalization of critical thinking and theological theological praxis of Ignacio Ellacuría in 1985-1986

Abstract

This paper is intended to show that in 1985 a radical inflexion took place in the critical thinking of Ignacio Ellacuría, which was evident in his essay “Liberating Function of Philosophy”, and that this radicalization is also evident in the acceleration of his public life and in the political crescendo of what he called the “proseguimiento” (following and continuation) of the historical project of Jesus of Nazareth.
