Abstract
In order to understand the current situation and identify the factors that limit women in the development of entrepreneurial activities, we approached various government institutions to determine, first, how the term “entrepreneurship” is understood; second, to identify the main obstacles that limit women’s participation in this activity; and third, to investigate how public institutions support this entrepreneurship. To this end, we conducted a literature review and determined that, to date, no program has been successfully implemented that provides the necessary tools to adequately support women’s development in the business sector.
