To disseminate research results, case studies, best practices and technological solutions in the field of Engineering, Architecture and Design to contribute to the development and transformation of Latin American societies.
History of the journal
The journal has its origin in the proceedings of the Congress of Engineering and Architecture, CONIA. The First Congress of Engineering and Architecture was held in 2011.
was held in 2011 and was the result of the evolution of the electronics and computer science fairs, which were held between 2003 and 2009, and the Electronics and Computer Science Congress, held in 2010. The good reception by academics and students of the Electronics and Computer Science Congress logically led to the idea of a Congress that would include relevant topics to all the careers of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture.
In El Salvador, scientific and technological publications have been scarce and intermittent over time. Therefore, we consider it important to create a space for the wider dissemination of Latin American academic production in the areas of Engineering, Architecture and Design.
The CONIA memoirs evolved into this publication maintaining the 1989 university approach that the university stated: “... the fundamental theme of UCA research should be the national reality, but the national reality insofar as it needs and can be transformed”. Therefore, the articles must have as their horizon the transformation of reality.
