Abstract
This article presents a reflection on the notions and styles of coping, which, from the company or organization has in the presence of a worker with chronic disabling diseases. It is analyzed in the light of a case, where a worker suffers from cancer, and as the company where she works, from the different spheres of her organizational architecture responds to the situation. The need to understand chronic diseases is argued, from a humanized view of human resources, emphasizing their dignity, and responding to the new reforms of the Labor Code, related to the job stability of people with chronic disease conditions. Finally, there is a proposal aimed at the area of human resources within the company or organization, focused on protecting its workers and addressing the challenges posed by chronic and disabling diseases not only at the individual level, but socially, and In this case, work.
