Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Maximum length of 2000 words, which is equivalent to an approximate of four pages with Arial punto 12 typography, line spacing of 1.15 and margins configured by default. The space after each paragraph should be left at 8 points.
  • Place the title of the research in bold, in the center of the page.
  • Place the identification signs of author or authors as follows: a main author of whom the email for contact and his ORCID will be placed, while the rest of the authors must be alphabetically ordered and all of them with their ORCID. Those who do not have this code must manage it in a timely manner because works whose authors do not declare it will not be received.
  • Additionally, all authors must place their work institution or city, the latter if they did not have a fixed institutional affiliation.
  • Subsequently, a minimum of three and a maximum of five keywords must be placed, preferably taken from the UNESCO thesaurus or from another specialized thesaurus of the corresponding disciplinary field.
  • The amount of 2000 words of the abstract includes bibliographic references, which correspond only to those sources that have been cited in the text.
  • In-text citations and bibliographic references should be made in accordance with the APA style in its seventh edition.
  • The authors will be responsible for sending the title of the work and the keywords translated into the English language.
  • As these are abstracts, it is recommended that the title be explicit about the content of the research and provide readers with sufficient information to infer its content and access the archive. However, titles larger than 30 words are not recommended.

Conditions of the editorial process

  • The abstracts are requested from the various instances of the University by Investigaciones UCA team. 
  • The published abstracts can only be received at the proposal of the faculties or administrative units of UCA.
  • The editorial team of Investigaciones UCA reserves the right to reject abstracts if they do not meet the quality criteria or do not adhere to the declared editorial guidelines. 
  • The times allowed for the editorial process are defined by Investigaciones UCA team, these must be accepted and respected by the authors.
  • The authors must sign a declaration of originality in support of the authorship of the abstract (this format is attached).
