Plagiarism policy

Proceso performs the receipt and acceptance of original and unpublished works, adhering to the plagiarism detection policy which must be complied with by the Editorial Board and its authors. In addition, emphasis is placed on good practices emanating from the Ethics Committee for Publications (COPE), in which it discards all dishonest and fraudulent practices in the process of accepting articles.

For that reason, Proceso could reject an article, if it presents the following types of plagiarism:

  • Copies of other people's work that can be total or partial.
  • The self-harm that can be total, partial or dosed.

Phases of acceptance of articles:

  1. When receiving and starting the review process by the editor, it will be taken into account if the guidelines set by the journal have been complied with and if the articles are original and unpublished. This will be supported by the evaluation of the program Turnitin for plagiarism detection.
  2. After this, the article will be sent for evaluation, in which rigorous attention is requested to any form of plagiarism.

In the event that plagiarism is confirmed:

In the event that plagiarism is detected in the submitted works, the Editorial Board will be informed of the degree of plagiarism that has been committed, an evaluation of this result will be made and subsequently, the author will be notified of the reason for the rejection of the article.
