Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • For academic text: a minimum of 600 words and a maximum of 1,500. (Flexible)
  • Times New Roman typeface, in size 12 and justified.
  • Short titles, not exceeding 5 words and reflecting the central theme of the article. The editors will be able to change the title of the articles.
  • The text can include short tables and small graphs.
    Authors will be able to send images to illustrate their articles. Photos or figures must have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
  • If you want a specific phrase to stand out, just make the annotation at the end of the document.
  • The text may contain bulleted lists, literals or numerals; these must be justified and accurate. It can only contain one list.
  • For academic text: titled sub-sections can be used.
  • All text quoted literally must be in quotation marks (without italics or bold) and the source must be indicated (with numerals at the bottom of the page). Citation style of preference: APA 7a. editing.
  • For articles, writing in a personal tone should be avoided, and even less in the first person singular (for example“ “I think that”, “it seems to me”). Therefore, the impersonal wording should preferably be chosen ("if observed”, “it is possible to affirm”, “it has been considered").
  • The article should be sent in digital format in one of the following extensions: .doc, .docx, .odt and in letter size to the following e-mail address: in letter size to the following e-mail address boletin.proceso@uca.edu.sv

Author Guidelines

Among the requirements should be requested that each article or document must contain: 

  • Heading 
  • Author (institutional affiliation, email, country and ORCID).
  • References (preferably, APA 7th edition).

This section presents an analysis of the situation in the country. It is a kind of editorial that reflects the issues and points of view on which the publication focuses. The editorials of the newsletter are written by different academics and social projection staff of the University: Amparo Marroquín, Willian Marroquín, Omar Serrano, Roberto Deras and Fátima Peña.

Desde la academia

In this section, a more extensive analysis is presented and from a perspective that contemplates theoretical elements that allow a better understanding of the national reality. Articles published in this section must be unpublished.

This section presents a compilation of the most important political events that have occurred during the week.
