Innbox es una rma consultora especializada
en innovación, dedicada a ayudar a personas y
organizaciones a innovar por medio de asistencia
técnica y acompañamiento especializado a sus
necesidades. Dicho proceso provee de una caja de
herramientas especializadas que permite materializar
los resultados de la innovación. El trabajo de Innvox
gira alrededor de cuatro valores:

A continuación, les compartimos la entrevista
realizada a Tony Carbonero, director ejecutivo de
dicha rma consultora.
¿Para quién es Innbox?
Innbox orienta sus servicios a cuatro segmentos
de clientes: sector negocios, en el que se atienden
desde emprendimientos emergentes hasta grandes
empresas consolidadas; luego, el sector academia, en
el cual se trabaja con instituciones educativas en sus
procesos de diversicación de oferta educativa y se
introduce el componente de innovación en el desarrollo
sus planes de estudio. En tercer lugar, trabaja con
el sector de las organizaciones de la sociedad civil
y las gubernamentales tanto a nivel central como
a nivel municipal, con las cuales se desarrollan
programas de apoyo al desarrollo económico y social,
empleabilidad, educación, prevención de la violencia.
Y, nalmente, trabaja con el sector creativo donde
se asesoran y acompañan proyectos de Economía
Naranja, empresas emergentes, emprendimientos
dinámicos tecnológicos c, los cuales requieren de una
atención especial desde su diseño y programación
hasta su arquitectura y fabricación.
¿Cuáles son los retos y oportunidades para la
innovación en la región centroamericana?
Uno de los principales retos para la innovación a
nivel regional radican en la cultura y la mentalidad
de las personas, que tienen sus orígenes en la base
formativa recibida que ha estado orientada a la
eciencia; lo que marca la forma de pensar, de trabajar
y de crear nuevos negocios. Esto presenta una tensión
entre el mundo de la explotación versus el mundo
de la exploración. La exploración se asocia con los
entornos de trabajo innovadores, la explotación se
asocia con la preservación del statu quo: si funciona,
¿por qué hacer las cosas distintas?
Sin embargo, para desarrollar ideas innovadoras es
necesario cambiar los paradigmas asociados a la
ecacia y, por ende, a la explotación. Quienes decidan
aventurarse en los caminos de la innovación deben
despojarse de la idea de estar cómodos con tener
todas las respuestas, deben estar abiertos a ejercer
la exploración usando el método cientíco y practicar
la heurística. Estos procesos requieren que dejemos
espacio a la incertidumbre.
Otro reto que enfrentamos ante la innovación es la
visión cortoplacista. En la región centroamericana falta
desarrollar una dinámica de trabajo que se enfoque en
desarrollar planes a cinco, diez, veinte o más años. La
innovación requiere de desarrollar una capacidad para
equilibrar la búsqueda de la eciencia del negocio,
pero también estar abiertos a las adaptaciones que
el futuro trae. Es decir, decir, cómo manejamos el
negocio actual, sin perder de vista cómo atendemos el
negocio futuro. Lo anterior también está relacionado
con la asignación de recursos, que se vuelve en sí
mismo un tercer reto, la búsqueda de fuentes de
nanciamiento: recursos propios, inversionistas,
proyectos de cooperación internacional destinados
a la promoción de la innovación, entre otros. Todo
este esfuerzo permitirá obtener resultados en una
lógica diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados. Por
ejemplo, el análisis del retorno de la inversión debe
hacerse a largo plazo. Yo recomiendo el uso de otras
métricas, como analizar la consolidación del talento y
de los sistemas de innovación.
